Complete vehicle system scanning

A full-system Auto Scan checks the control modules the vehicle and tool make available, rather than simply checking the engine ECU. It can show how faults in different systems relate to the warning lights or symptoms you have noticed.

Fault codes in context

A conventional manual gearbox may not have a separate diagnostic control module. Scanning is limited to the modules that are fitted, accessible and supported.

Clearing a code does not repair an active underlying fault. Codes are cleared only after appropriate diagnosis or repair. An unresolved problem can bring the warning back, and some codes need the vehicle to complete its own checks before they disappear.

Capture an intermittent fault

Volkswagen Group: VW, Audi, SEAT & Škoda functions

For supported Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda vehicles, we can check the available adaptations, relearns and module configuration. Potential specialist functions include online coding, supported online immobiliser functions, guided diagnostic information, DTC guidance and supported hidden / convenience function configuration.

Some online functions require appropriate active software subscriptions and manufacturer support. OTOFIX advertises specific D1 online features for Volkswagen and Audi; the same access must not be assumed for every SEAT or Škoda. Coverage, access requirements and the particular control unit are checked before any function is agreed.

Security-related work is restricted to legitimate supported procedures, with proof of ownership where required. We do not guarantee a function until vehicle compatibility has been checked.

Engine & emissions baseline

Generic OBD-II / EOBD diagnostics
